Scandal-Hit Nidec Incurs 564.6-B.-Yen Net Loss in FY 2025

Kyoto, Sept. 30 (Jiji Press)--Nidec Corp. suffered a consolidated net loss of 564.6 billion yen in fiscal 2025, which ended in March this year, the scandal-hit major Japanese motor maker's securities report showed Wednesday.

The red ink came as the Nidec group logged an impairment loss of 632.2 billion yen, according to the report, which was submitted to the Kanto Regional Finance Bureau the same day.

An audit company issued a disclaimer of opinion on the report.

The company, embroiled in accounting and quality irregularity scandals, had put off releasing its fiscal 2025 business results.
