Former US President Donald Trump has left office, but his influence still looms over the Republican Party. Can the GOP rein in Trumpism in the wake of the assault on the US Capitol and subsequent second impeachment trial, or will the divisive ideology gain momentum, further deepening social and political rifts in the United States and abroad?
