Nintendo dice que área "Donkey Kong" abrirá en Universal Studios Japón en 2024

TOKIO, 28 sep (Reuters) - La firma japonesa Nintendo Co Ltd dijo el martes que el área "Donkey Kong" de su "Super Nintendo World" abrirá en 2024 en su parque temático Universal Studios Japón en Osaka.

El área temática de "Super Mario" abrió este año en el parque, en el marco de una gran expansión puesta en marcha por Nintendo para diversificar su negocio más allá de las consolas. La inauguración fue aplazada por la pandemia del COVID-19.

En la expansión recién anunciada, "los visitantes podrán dar un paseo por el lado salvaje a través de las exuberantes junglas donde viven Donkey Kong y sus amigos", dijo en un comunicado el fabricante de videojuegos con sede en Kioto.

El área, basada en una de las franquicias más clásicas y duraderas de Nintendo, incluirá una montaña rusa y experiencias interactivas, al tiempo que aumentará en un 70% el tamaño de su zona temática.
