Kawanishi Yōhei

Fellow, Nakasone Peace Institute, specializing in Soviet and Russian foreign policy, security, and intelligence. Received his doctorate in law from Keiō University. Served in the Intelligence and Analysis Service of the Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs before assuming his current post. Author of Sutārin no Kyokutō senryaku 1941–1950 (Stalin’s Far East Strategy, 1941–50) and other works.
