Yamamoto Yoshimi

Professor of comparative cultures, Tsuru University. Received her doctorate from Shōwa Women’s University and did postgraduate research at the Academia Sinica’s Institute of Ethnology in Taiwan. Author of Irezumi to Nihonjin (The Japanese and Tattoos), Irezumi no sekai (The World of Tattoos), and other works.
