Sunohara Fumihiro

Professor at Musashino Art University. Born in Nagano Prefecture in 1978. Completed his doctoral studies at the University of Tsukuba. Previously served as curator at the Ōkawa Museum of Art in Kiryū, Gunma, and at the Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art, as well as associate professor of art education at Gunma University. Has held his current position since September 2018. Chiefly researches postwar Japanese art reception, with particular attention to Okamoto Tarō and his circle. Also engaged in research on art appreciation education in schools and museums, as well as illustration and pop culture.
