Hatori Yoshiyuki

Born in 1959. Graduated from the Department of French Literature at Waseda University. Joined Bungeishunjū in 1984, working mainly in the literary editing department. After leaving, made his fiction debut in 2022 with Nao kakukakutare: Tachibana Muneshige zanshō (Still Glorious: The Twilight of Tachibana Muneshige) which received the Japan Historical Writers’ Association Newcomers’ Award. Has taught creative writing as a specially appointed professor at Kanazawa Gakuin University since 2023. Also wrote Asobi o sen to ya: Furuta Oribe dankanki (Born to Play? Fragments from Furuta Oribe).
