Nakamura Kenji

Born in 1970. Made a splash with his 2006 directorial debut, the Bakeneko (Phantom Cat) episode of the popular Ayakashi televised horror series. Went on to helm works including the 2007 Mononoke series, inspired by his 2006 outing. His work tackles a broad range of themes, from slices of daily life to grander societal issues, and his colorful imagery and innovative interpretations have carved out a unique feel for his anime.
