Murayama Shōei

Former Kyoto assembly member. Born in Kyoto in 1978. After earning a law degree from Senshū University, joined Recruit Co., Ltd. First elected to the Kyoto city assembly in 2003 on a platform of reforming local government. Founder of local political party Kyōtotō (Kyoto Party). Works include Kyōto ga kankō de horobiru hi (How Overtourism will Destroy Kyoto).
