Tada Fumiaki

Journalist covering crime, particularly scams and fraudulent marketing schemes. Is known for his investigative work, frequently going undercover to expose scammers, hustlers, and con artists. His reports have appeared widely across print and broadcast media. A former member of the Unification Church, he draws on personal experience to shed light on the organization’s methods of control. In 2017–18 he was a member of a Consumer Affairs Agency panel studying the psychological impact of fraudulent business practices on youths. Publications include Tsuiteittara, kō natta (What Happened When I Went Along with Street Scammers).
