Maruyama Satomi

Associate professor of sociology, Kyoto University. Born in 1976. Received her PhD in sociology from Kyoto University. Author of Josei hōmuresu toshite ikiru (trans. Living on the Streets in Japan: Homeless Women Break Their Silence), of which a revised and expanded edition was released in September 2021. Editor of Hinkon mondai no shinchihei (The Poverty Problem’s New Horizon) and other works.
