Kanayama Tsutomu

Professor at Ritsumeikan University, where he will serve as the first dean of the new College of Global Liberal Arts from April 2019. His five years of preparatory negotiations have established a dual-degree system allowing students to earn diplomas from both Ritsumeikan and the Australian National University, a first for university education in Australia and Japan. A specialist in media communications, as a Fulbright visiting scholar he did research on US broadcast policy in the wake of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
