Abe Reiko

Senior project manager, Railway Engineering Department, Oriental Consultants Global; managing director, Oriental Consultants India. Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1963. Studied engineering at Yamaguchi University. Received her master’s degree in engineering from Kobe University in 1989 and joined Kōnoike Construction. Studied in a master’s program at the Norwegian Institute of Technology (now the Norwegian University of Science and Technology) in 1995. Worked on tunneling projects for Taiwan’s high-speed rail. Joined Pacific Consultants International in 2004. Has worked in India since 2007 building metro systems in cities including New Delhi. Joined Oriental Consultants Global in 2008. Received her doctorate from Yamaguchi University in 2014.
