Ōwada Norio

President of Abi Co., Ltd. Born in Tokyo in 1944. After dropping out of university in 1966, joined his father’s company, Ōwada Manufacturing. Began developing pastry-making equipment. Left in 1989 to become president of his own company, Abi, in 1998. Received the Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award Special Prize from the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry in 2009, and the Medal with Yellow Ribbon in 2011.
