Media critic. Completed his doctorate in policy research. Previously worked as a producer and a professor at Sophia University. Author of Sukoshi gurai no uso wa ōme ni: Mukōda Kuniko no kotoba (Forgive Me a Few Lies: The Words of Mukōda Kuniko). Coauthor with Kuramoto Sō of Dorama e no yuigon (Last Words to Drama) and Kyakuhonryoku (The Art of Scriptwriting).
