Sung Ho-chul

Japan Bureau Chief for the Chosun Ilbo since May 2022. He worked for a trade journal for eight years before joining the paper in 2008. Has been a visiting professor at Keiō University. He loves the novels of Murakami Haruki, and says when he feels restless, he rereads Norwegian Wood. His writings include Wa! Nihon: Gyōshū suru Nihonjin ishiki kōzō o kaibō (Wa! Dissecting the Cohesive Structure of Japanese Consciousness).
