Pereric Högberg

Ambassador of Sweden to Japan since 2019. Earned his degree in political science from Uppsala University before joining the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and then the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Has extensive experience in Africa, including diplomatic postings to Namibia and South Africa and as head of the ministry’s Africa Department, and served as ambassador to Vietnam. Was also director of the International Division of the Swedish Arts Council.
