Tsumori Shigeru

Visiting professor in the Law Department at the Tōin University of Yokohama. Joined the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1965. Served in many roles, including consul-general in Munich; minister to West Germany and the unified German Federal Republic; councillor in the European and Oceanian Affairs Bureau; consul-general in Berlin; ambassador to Kuwait; and ambassador to Myanmar. He retired from diplomatic service in 2002.
