Nakamura Yoshio

Born in Tokyo in 1942. Earned a master’s degree from Keiō University Graduate School of Economics, and completed PhD course work at Georgetown University. Entered Keidanren (now Nippon Keidanren [Japan Business Federation]) in 1968; has been its director general since 2006 and its vice-chairman since 2010. Maintains close ties with political and business circles in the United States established while working there, including his stint as a guest lecturer at Boston College.
