Kamijima Toshiaki

Representative of the Sakano Hiroshi Daidōgeijuku (Asakusa Zatsugeidan). Born in Nagano in 1955. Served as a judge for Heaven Artist—the Tokyo metropolitan government’s street‑performance licensing program—from 2002 to 2015. Toured Shiga, Hyōgo, Tottori, and other prefectures from 1991 to 1996 as a member of the troupe performing Ise Daikagura (an important intangible folk cultural property), led by Katō Kikudayū. Is the author of numerous books on traditional popular entertainment.
