Konuma Michiji

Physicist specializing in elementary particle theory, the history of physics, and the intersection of science and society. Professor emeritus at Keio University and Tokyo City University. Born in Tokyo in 1931. After earning his doctorate at the University of Tokyo, worked at his alma mater, Kyoto University, Keio, and the Musashi Institute of Technology (now TCU). Served as chairperson of the Science Council of Japan’s Special Committee for Nuclear Physics and president of the Physical Society of Japan. Author of Yukawa Hideki no senso to heiwa (War and Peace for Yukawa Hideki) and other books.
