新旅途的起點
在橫濱的展覽中，尤為引人關注的是蔡國強在日本創作的《夜櫻》。這幅高8m、寬24m的巨型作品在主展館進行了展示。和紙上描繪著柔弱的櫻花花瓣，隱藏在花叢中的貓頭鷹，目光犀利，咄咄逼人。

這幅作品也沒有使用畫筆，而是用燃燒火藥的方式完成構圖。「您為什麼選擇了櫻花呢？」——面對電視臺記者的提問，蔡國強回答道：「櫻花生命短暫，轉瞬即逝。但它會等待春天再次來臨。這種力與美，和火藥在某些方面不乏共性。」
蔡國強表示，此次回歸日本是一種嘗試，他希望在內心世界中找回令人眷戀的「東方」，那是在自己獲得眾多成果以後才領悟到的。在新的旅途中，蔡國強又會收穫怎樣的成果呢？讓我們拭目以待吧。
